About Us...

MyKidsWeb was a simple site designed for kids to easily find other sites in a visual manner; by providing "generously sized" thumbnails, even small children can quickly and easily find what they are looking for. By basing the site on almost purely visual navigation, it becomes usable by a large number of young children.

The different sections of MyKidsWeb focus on differing categories of kids sites:

Home - Is a random set of thumbnails from our database

Girls / Boys - Is a collection of thumbnails representing sites a little more focused around either boys or girls

Personal Favorites - On most of the pages of the site that show thumbnails, there is a link to add that thumbnail to a list of favorites - that way, you can build a list of favorites and come back to it any time for easy access.

More Links... - The sites in our database are also broken down into more focused categories, like "movies" or "video games" - use the Select A Category drop down list to see which sites are listed there.

Get Listed! - A page describing how to submit a new site which does not appear to be in our system yet.

Please note that all graphics are nothing more than resized screen grabs of the existing sites. In some cases, the grabs were taken a little while ago and might be out of date, though the site should still be what is referenced in the image. All images are owned by their respective copyright owners and if you represent any of said persons and wish for your site's image to no longer be featured here, simply email admin@mykidsweb.net.

Sooner or later, someone is bound to ask, "Is it appropriate to have ads on a children's website?" If someone wants to fund the expenses and time of running this site, we'll be happy to take them down; until then, we have to at least try to recoup some small amount of the cost of running this site.
